About Abby Peacock
Abby Peacock is a ceramic artist residing in Edwardsville Illinois. In 2018, she earned a BFA in Ceramics and a BA in Art History from Indiana University Southeast. She has been working in clay since the fall of 2011. The artist’s main body of artwork consists of atmospherically fired porcelain with underglaze designs. Conceptually, she explores notions of communication, language, and social interaction. Drawing inspiration from the history of craft art in America through research into the designs and meanings found within folk art. She is enthusiastic about the connections between craft, culture, and communication. Abby is currently pursuing her MFA at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
